The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have finalized their 53-man roster heading into Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons. There are some surprises, but they have one of the better rosters in the NFL, and when healthy, this is a group that is ready to compete for a Super Bowl.
Jason Licht and Todd Bowles combed over the roster starting on Sunday, following the preseason finale. By Tuesday, they had finished the cuts needed to bring the roster down to 53 men. Now, all focus shifts over to them, making their practice squad the ultimate insurance policy for the team.
The Bucs can start making their waiver claims at Noon on Wednesday, and they go in the same order as their draft pick, so they make claims in the 19th spot. Our Bucs Wire team will provide live coverage throughout the coming days as the Bucs solidify their practice squad.
