Bishop Kenny turned the tables on four-time state champions Ribault, avenging last year’s playoff exit by winning 50-38 in the Florida High School Athletic Association Region 1-4A boys basketball quarterfinals on Feb. 14.
The Trojans (12-14) kept clawing back and cut the gap to six points on Roderick Love’s three-pointer midway through the fourth quarter, but Bishop Kenny’s Drew Jackson and James Davis III connected for a 6-0 run to put the game away.
Jackson scored a game-high 16 points for the No. 1-seeded Crusaders (24-3), who hold home-court advantage throughout regionals. Ribault had topped Bishop Kenny by 27 points in the 2025 FHSAA regionals.
“We’ve done a much better job this year of rebounding, and I think that showed tonight,” Bishop Kenny coach Jerry Buckley said.
Senior Zion Hall led Ribault with nine points.
The Crusaders advance to a Feb. 21 home playoff against Pensacola (18-9), which won 72-55 against Baker County behind a Noah Jones double-double (19 points, 13 rebounds) as well as 15 points from Rupert Sproles and 12 from Jabari Epps.
Joel Carver scored 17 and Brady Jacobs had 10 for Baker County (23-4), Northeast Florida’s highest-scoring team of the regular season.
Also exiting postseason was Raines (14-10), which lost 64-58 in the state capital against Tallahassee Godby (19-6).
