(Editor’s note: Round 1 of the BMW Championship was suspended due to darkness with just Bud Cauley facing a long birdie putt on the 18th hole remaining. The second round will begin as scheduled as Cauley will finish the 18th at 11 a.m. before starting his second round.)
The BMW Championship rolls along into Round 2. Rain suspended the first round for a few hours, and there’s more in the forecast for today’s round.

Robert MacIntyre shot past Scottie Scheffler to take the lead at 8 under par through Round 1. Tommy Fleetwood put up a strong round, as well, while Viktor Hovland, Ben Griffin and Rickie Fowler also entered today near the top of the leaderboard.
That’s especially good news for Fowler, who needs a strong finish to qualify for the Tour Championship. Michael Kim, Jason Day and Harry Hall also benefitted from good opening rounds; all need to finish in the top 10 to have a hope of earning enough points to play next week.
