Florida State still doesn’t have a wide receiver committed in the 2027 recruiting cycle. They do have several targets, and four-star Sean Green is at the top of the list.
After getting a scholarship offer from FSU last May, Green took two unofficial visits last October. This year, he’s visited two more times. He also has an official visit locked in for June 5, and Matt LaSerre of Warchant thinks he’s one of the key visitors that the Seminoles will have this summer.
It has become clear that Florida State is looking to focus on two receivers for this class, and Green and four-star WR Cam Wade seem to be at the top of the list.
Putting Green on this list instead of Wade is not a reflection on their talent levels, but more an acknowledgement that Green is from Camden County, Ga., while Wade hails from Virginia. The Seminoles need to hit on as many top prospects as possible from Florida and Georgia.
UGA is the biggest competitor here, and the feel around the recruitment is that whichever staff makes Green a higher priority will likely win out. The Seminoles seem to have a slight edge right now because of how highly they value him.
Green had a productive junior year at Camden County High School. He hauled in 41 receptions for 572 yards and nine touchdowns. This followed a sophomore campaign when he racked up 48 receptions for 584 yards and five touchdowns.
He’s listed as the nation’s No. 290 recruit and the No. 44 wide receiver per Rivals’ industry rankings. In the state of Georgia, he’s the No. 31 prospect.
Last month, Florida State received a projection to land Green. So, his visit in June is undoubtedly an important one.
