Meet Bishop, not a member of the clergy, but a lay resident of the canine community. This yellow Labrador young ‘un oozes exuberance when it comes to just about any fun activity during daylight hours. Game of tag? He’s It. Dance? he’ll lead with an epic tail wag. During a recent sleepover, Bishop interacted well with two kiddos but could benefit from restraints on road trips until he’s acclimated to travel. Bond with Bishop soon and help him grow with your family.

Izzy

Breed: Mixed breed/hound

Gender: Female

Weight: 45 pounds

Age: 1 ½ years

Orphaned Since: Sept. 23

Adoption Fee: $250

No need to get into a tizzy when meeting Izzy, a mixed breed hound whose love overflows to people and pooches alike. At a year and a half and 45 pounds, she’s pretty much adult but also exhibits some puppy behavior like leash tugs and intense sniffathons. Toys and treats incentivize Izzy to learn and obey commands beyond the simple sit and stay. When lonely, Izzy takes comfort surrounded by toys. After daily exercise or fetching a Frisbee, Izzy loves to chill next to her humans on a fave couch. So book a one-way ticket for Izzy to travel to her forever home and family.

Heather

Breed: Domestic shorthair

Gender: Female

Weight: 4 pounds

Age: 5 months

Orphaned Since: July 8

Adoption Fee: $100

Heather the cat in no way resembles the pink/purple shrub so common in Scotland. Feline Heather, who hangs out in Tinker’s Legacy Cattery at SPCA Florida, is gray and when enjoying your soothing strokes, will twitch her tail. She’s silky to the touch, and her eyes will look deep into your soul as you mumble sweet nothings to her. Once she gets to know you, she’ll warm up when she sees a wand or laser toy or anything in motion. Visit her in Pod 1 and chances are you’ll find her sprawled out in her basket and dreaming of her forever family.

Silver Fox

Breed: Domestic shorthair

Gender: Male

Weight: 9 pounds

Age: 1 year

Orphaned Since: Sept. 18

Adoption Fee: $125

Sophisticated, polite, patient. That describes Silver Fox, who is silver but not a fox. He’s hanging out at the Orlando Cat Café but hopefully, not for long. This handsome and affectionate feline is compatible with other cats. Silver Fox tested positive for FIV, definitely not a downer as long as his people monitor his health and keep him up to speed with vet visits. Living indoors with other cats is not only permissible but will foster a beneficial experience. So schedule a stop at the Orlando Cat Café: https://www.orlandocatcafe.com, a worthwhile attraction without the long lines.
