Best pizza in Daytona area? Here's one of my favorite restaurants

Ask 10 people where to find the area’s best pizza, and you’ll probably walk away with 10 different answers — and maybe a friendly debate to go with them.

Luckily, from foldable New York-style pies to charred New Haven classics, the Volusia-Flagler region is hardly short on options.

So, I’ve rounded up 11 pizzerias across the Daytona Beach area that I find myself returning to — and recommending — time and time again.

Here’s one of my favorites, but scan the QR code for the full list.

JoJo’s Tastes of Chicago proves you don’t have to head to the Windy City for an authentic Chicago pie.

What began as a humble food trailer traveling along Florida’s West Coast has grown into a favorite among transplanted Chicagoans craving a taste of home and curious locals discovering the city’s signature flavors for the first time.

Now settled into its new Port Orange storefront in Park Place Plaza, the restaurant pairs an upgraded dining room — complete with Chicago-inspired artwork, sports memorabilia and neighborhood pizzeria charm — with the same recipes that built its following.

The menu’s standout is its Chicago thin crust — rolled cracker-thin, baked until crisp and sliced into the city’s signature squares. Each bite balances a lightly sweet tomato sauce, bubbling cheese and a crust sturdy enough to deliver that satisfying crunch.

Options range from your classic pepperoni to the Hot Hawaiian Cracker Crust, Da Italian Beef Cracker Crust and Meat Lovers Cracker Crust, among others.

Those looking for something heartier can opt for a 7-, 10- or 14-inch Chicago-style deep dish, where thick, buttery crusts cradle generous layers of cheese, sauce and the toppings of choice.

Beyond its pizza, JoJo’s rounds out the Chicago experience with Italian beef sandwiches, hot dogs and other hometown staples.
