Florida State baseball rebounded from its prior bad weekend. With a series sweep against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and a Tuesday win over Stetson, they are back on a winning streak. With an overall record of 28-11 and a conference record of 12-6, the Seminoles are back on track.
Baseball America’s top 25 rankings seemed to appreciate this, as in their rankings, Florida State is now at No. 11 in the country, a two-spot jump.
Last week, Florida State was ranked No. 13 nationally. Now, they are sandwiched between No. 10 Coastal Carolina (28-11, 15-3 Sun Belt) and No. 12 Florida (28-13, 10-8 SEC). The ACC has five ranked teams in the updated poll, with Florida State being the third-best ACC team behind the No. 2 North Carolina Tar Heels and No. 4 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Their upcoming schedule is a doozy. A short trip to Jacksonville for a match against North Florida, then a cross-country trip to take on the Stanford Cardinal this weekend. The Seminoles are 7-5 when they are on the road. Fans can catch the former game on Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
