“It’s time to start planning fall travel, and we are excited to extend Avelo’s Central Florida flight schedule through mid-November 2026,” Trevor Yearly, Avelo’s head of commercial, said in a news release. “With Avelo’s affordable fares and industry-leading reliability, it’s the perfect time for travelers to get a head start on booking their fall vacations or weekend getaways to their favorite destinations.”

Avelo changes flight frequency from LAL

Avelo serves six Central Florida Airports, including Lakeland Linder, having offered flights to eight destinations for the summer.

Looking over Avelo’s fall schedule posted on its website, avelorair.com, it appears the airline plans to reduce the frequency of service on four of its routes starting in mid-August. Flight service to each of the following cities decreases from four days a week to two:

The Ledger has reached out to Avelo Airlines for further details on the frequency of service along these routes.

The reduced service to San Juan comes a few weeks weeks after Avelo CEO Andy Levy confirmed it remains the top-performing route at Lakeland Linder. Levy said the airline was considering adding additional flights to Puerto Rico.

Destination not found?

Travelers may notice there are no longer flights offered between Lakeland Linder and Wilmington, North Carolina, (code ILM) on Avelo’s fall schedule. It appears the airline may be dropping the route.

Avelo previously said its Lakeland service to Detroit Metropolitan Wane County Airport (code DTW) and Grand Rapids, Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford International Airport (code GRR) were seasonal with the final flights being April 18 and 19, respectively.

Avelo’s website highlights Detroit and Grand Rapids service will be returning in November, but a fall schedule has not yet been posted.
