Sharp put the edge in the Palm Beach Central defense last year, pacing the team with 133 tackles, including 13.5 for a loss. The junior linebacker added 4.5 sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery for a defense that limited offenses to an average of 12.6 points per game last season.

The Broncos made it to the regional finals before losing to Vero Beach. They finished 10-2.

Sharp was named to The Palm Beach Post’s All-County for Defense.

“WVU is a great fit for me because I get to learn from one of the best defensive coordinators in the game, Coach (Rich) Rodriguez is back, and playing on the stage where we are the biggest show in the whole state, is going to be fun,” Sharp told The Post.

As far as what Mountaineers fans can expect from Sharp, he shared a vision of the program they will appreciate.

“I will bring leadership, work-ethic, and passion to the team. Mountaineers fans should be excited that Coach Rodriguez is back and that he has assembled a great staff that’s ready to win now.”
