The 2025 NFL schedules have been released, and one question remains: What will be the toughest matchup for the team this year?
Initially, looking at the opponents, one might think the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, the Buffalo Bills, and the Atlanta Falcons. The latter would make sense after blundering in two games last year against them. Or perhaps even the reigning number one team in the NFC playoffs last year, the Detroit Lions?

Even though all of them are great options, the toughest could be against the Los Angeles Rams.
The Rams? You may ask: Considering how the last few matchups have gone, I believe that flying to Los Angeles after playing the Buffalo Bills the week before will be the toughest test. The Buccaneers have to face in the 2025 season. Sean McVay has been a thorn in the Buccaneers’ side for years, especially in the playoffs, handing the Buccaneers one of the toughest losses in recent memory with 30 seconds left on a deep ball to Cooper Kupp that set the Rams up to win the game with a field goal.
But that’s in the past.
The Los Angeles Rams have added Davante Adams to their already deadly offense, with Puka Nacua across from Adams and Kyren Williams in the backfield. McVay’s West Coast motion offense is troublesome for any teams, but it could continue to be a nightmare for the Buccaneers’ young defense; it could be a death sentence.
