After the season Puka Nacua had in 2025, it seems impossible for him to get better than he already is. But heading into 2026, with a renewed focus and a lucrative contract on the horizon, Nacua could be poised for his best year yet.
He’s been the star of training camp so far, once again making highlight-reel plays on Wednesday, the Rams’ ninth practice at LMU. With Stetson Bennett operating the first-team offense, Nacua was catching passes from the fourth-year quarterback and he made a difficult grab look easy.
With Quentin Lake in coverage, Nacua made a slick one-handed grab over the middle. The official at the end of the clip seemed to be signaling for a hold against the defense, so Nacua made the catch despite being held by Lake.
Nacua has made the difficult look routine all camp long, and this is just another example of the incredible skill he possesses. Not only is he physical and tough to get on the ground, but he gets open for his quarterback and inhales every pass thrown his way.
If he doesn’t get his well-earned extension before Week 1, his play in 2026 is going to earn him even more money next offseason.
