Warriors linked to Kristaps Porzingis replacement in recent mock draft

With the No. 11 selection in the upcoming 2026 NBA Draft, there are plenty of different scenarios in which the Golden State Warriors can land top prospects. However, a recent mock draft by Adam Finkelstein of CBS Sports posed a new projection. Finkelstein has the Warriors selecting recent NCAA champion Aday Mara, while previous mock drafts had Golden State selecting his teammate, Yaxel Lendeborg. Last season at Michigan, Mara averaged 12.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and a whopping 2.6 blocks per game.

At 7’3″ and 260 pounds, Mara’s size would give head coach Steve Kerr many different options on offense. Additionally, taking Mara could soften the departure of Kristaps Porzingis if he were to leave in free agency. However, the chances of Mara falling to No. 11 seem slim.
