USC women’s basketball star Juju Watkins nominated for ESPY award

Although it ended in heartbreaking fashion, it was another incredible season for USC women’s basketball superstar Juju Watkins. The Trojans’ superstar finished the year averaging 23.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game en route to being named Big Ten Player of the Year. With Watkins leading the way, USC won the Big Ten regular season title in its first season in the league.

Last week, the nominees were announced for the 2025 ESPY Awards. Watkins is officially a nominee in the “Best College Athlete — Women’s Sports” category. Joining her as nominees are Pittsburgh volleyball player Olivia Babcock, North Carolina soccer player Katie Faasse, and Virginia swimmer Gretchen Walsh.
