USC head coach Lincoln Riley has an established reputation as one of the best quarterback developers in college football. So whenever Riley offers a QB a scholarship, it is not something to be taken lightly.
Last weekend, Riley and the Trojans offered their first quarterback in the 2028 recruiting cycle in three-star Trey Wright. Then this week, it was revealed that Wright will announce his college commitment on Saturday.
Wright is from Frisco, Texas. 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 419 overall player and the No. 28 quarterback in the class of 2028. He will chose between USC, Oregon, Kentucky, Arizona, and SMU.
If Wright picks USC, he would be the Trojans’ first commit in their 2028 recruiting class. 2028 wide receiver Roye Oliver III did commit to USC back in March, but in May, he reclassified to the 2027 cycle.
