UCLA basketball is back to its winning ways after a 79-48 win over Sacramento State on Tuesday. Now is the perfect time to check out Eric Dailey Jr’s latest single “Bruins Go!”, which was released last week on streaming platforms.
The single’s cover features a photo of Dailey raising his arms to the home crowd while the track itself is an ode to the UCLA basketball team.
“Crowd turnt up, we back at home. Back in that mode, built for the show. Never gon’ fold, never gon’ ghost,” Dailey Jr. raps. “Shout out the haters, they love us the most. After we win, we having a toast. Do it again because we got the most. If they want the smoke, we happy to host.”
Dailey Jr. has gotten off to a solid start in his junior season, which is his second year with the Bruins. The 6’8” forward has posted 13.0 points per game, 5.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists. Dailey Jr’s three point shooting has been an exciting development for UCLA, with Dailey Jr. up to 42.9% from deep on 3.5 attempts per game.
Not only is Dailey Jr. providing for the team on the court, he’s giving Pauley Pavilion the perfect song to play after Bruin wins.
“Don’t come to my city thinking it’s sweet. Causing a riot and flooding the street,” Dailey Jr. raps. “Step-back three, I just flow when I’m locked in. Once it’s work, yeah, I clock in.”
Mick Cronin may still be looking to get the rest of the team all on the same page but Dailey Jr. has been providing on-and-off the court so far this season for UCLA.
