Comment: The 5-foot-10 outside hitter led the Highlanders to two victories last week. On Tuesday, Ragland had 16 kills and nine aces in a 25-11, 25-17, 27-25 sweep of Oxnard. On Thursday, she finished with 12 kills, 10 aces and eight digs in 24-25, 25-17, 25-19, 26-24 win over Chatsworth. Royal is 2-1 on the season.

Comment: The junior quarterback completed 15 of 22 passes for 334 yards and four touchdowns to lead Santa Paula to a season-opening, 41-6 win over Channel Islands last Friday. The Cardinals will go for two in a row to start the season when they visit Grace this Friday.
