Street vendor killed in Hesperia golf cart crash

A street vendor was killed in a rollover golf cart crash in Hesperia on Tuesday night, officials said.

The fatal crash took place about 8:20 p.m. at Danbury Avenue and I Avenue, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

“The male driver was travelling north bound on I Avenue in a golf cart,” department spokeswoman Gloria Orejel said. “He lost control of the cart and rolled multiple times.”

Paramedics took the driver to a hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

The victim’s name was not released pending notification of family.
