Cal Fire issued a smoke advisory on Tuesday for residents in and around the Phelan area.
Residents in the area will see smoke from a planned training burn near the Phelan Fire Station in the area of Phelan Road and Centola Road. The area is between Johnson and Smith roads.
The fire training period is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, and smoke will be visible throughout the area during this time, authorities stated.
Residents are encouraged to close windows and limit outdoor activities if smoke becomes bothersome.
Residents are not to report the smoke as an emergency unless they observe conditions outside the planned burn area.
