The Los Angeles Rams’ second blockbuster trade of the 2026 offseason for edge rusher Myles Garrett has given the team’s defense a brand-new look for the year.
While some of the main elements of the defense remain with the team, some of the team’s most impactful positions will look different this year. After the new deal, the Rams will have two new cornerbacks (Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson) and one new edge rusher (Myles Garrett).
Here is how the Rams projected starting defense will look in 2026:
Garrett replaces Verse, while McDuffie and Watson replace Cobie Durant and Akhello Witherspoon, respectively. Kam Curl, who was an impending free agent heading into the 2026 offseason, returned after agreeing to a new deal with the Rams.
