It’s a tale as old as time.
Ridgeview Middle School students are ready to transport audiences to an enchanted castle on March 12, 13, and 14 with the fairy tale, “Beauty and the Beast Jr.”
The musical tells the story of Belle, who takes her father’s place as the Beast’s prisoner. The Beast is a prince, who is under a spell cast by an enchantress. To break the spell and become human again the Beast must learn to be kind, unselfish, and loved for who he is inside.
With the help of the castle’s enchanted servants, Belle and the Beast learn lessons about inner beauty, sacrificial love and ultimately break the curse. The junior version of this classic story is shorter and appropriate for a younger audience.
“Everyone involved has been working hard since November to create the best show possible,” Director Jennifer Garza said. “We are so excited to share this special production with our family, friends, and community.”
