‘Resilience, dedication, and impact’: Annual Queendom Awards to honor 5 High Desert women

Five High Desert women will be crowned queens during a special red-carpet ceremony on Mother’s Day weekend in Victorville.

The third annual Queendom Awards ceremony is scheduled from 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds at 14800 Seventh Street.

Hosted by High Desert leaders Sylvia Romo and Scott “Justified” Smith, the event will honor the “resilience, dedication, and impact of women who uplift their families and communities,” organizers said.

The queen honorees include: 

Additionally, the event will recognize other women from the High Desert for their unwavering commitment and contributions, organizers said.

The event will also include food and live entertainment.
