Rams rookie Max Klare gets unique piece of advice from Tom Brady

The NFLPA hosted its annual Rookie Premiere last weekend and the Los Angeles Rams were one of the few teams to have two rookies attend. Ty Simpson and Max Klare both took part in the event in Los Angeles, which gave them the opportunity to speak with people like Tom Brady.

During the Rookie Premiere, Brady sat down with Klare and others, sharing a unique piece of advice that had nothing to do with football. Brady told Klare to acquire as many of his own trading cards as he can.

“He was like, ‘Make sure you get all your cards,’” Klare said, via Edward Lewis of The California Post. “‘As many as you can.’”

The better a player is, the more valuable his card becomes, which Klare is well aware of.

“Obviously if you produce, it’s good to have them,” Klare said. “It’s just good to have them because they’re yours.”

The Rams drafted Klare in the second round out of Ohio State, adding him to an already deep and talented tight end room. He may not have a huge impact right away as a rookie because of the other players the Rams have at the position, but his future is bright alongside Terrance Ferguson.

With Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen entering the final year of their contracts, and Tyler Higbee going year to year with retirement, Klare and Ferguson are the long-term playmakers for Los Angeles at tight end.
