And it won’t be just one sport. Baseball, softball, boys volleyball and track and field will be featured every week.

Here are the games to watch in the 209 from March 30-April 4.

Baseball

Liberty Ranch at Lodi, 12:30 p.m., March 30

How much do divisions really matter? That question will be tested at the Christian Brothers Easter Tournament in Sacramento, where Lodi — a top-75 team in the state a year ago — meets Liberty Ranch, last season’s Sierra Valley Conference runner-up. On paper, it’s Division II vs. Division V. In reality, the difference is much smaller, with both teams sitting near each other in the state rankings.

Oakdale vs. Manteca — March 30 at Oakdale, 4 p.m.; April 1 at Manteca, 4 p.m.; April 2 at Oakdale, 4 p.m.

This one has all the makings of the top county series of the year. Not only could these two programs end up as the best in the area, but for the first time, these rivals meet as top-100 teams in the state. Between Division I bats and pitching depth where even a No. 3 starter could be an ace elsewhere, every inning is set up to deliver.

Ripon Christian vs. Ripon — April 1 at Ripon, 4 p.m., April 2 at Ripon Christian, 4 p.m.

Anytime Ripon Christian and Ripon meet, it brings fireworks. The two schools sit across the street from each other, adding a personal edge to an already heated rivalry. With the Trans-Valley League taking shape as a four-team race that includes both sides, the stakes push the intensity, animosity and atmosphere to another level.

Stagg vs. Bear Creek — April 1 at Stagg, 6:15 p.m., April 3 at Bear Creek, 4 p.m.

Bear Creek’s coach didn’t hesitate, calling Tokay and Bear Creek the “cream of the crop” after splitting their season series and sitting tied atop the league at 5-1. It’s a claim backed by results, with the two finishing first and second in the SJAA a year ago. Still, he’s acknowledged the “hullabaloo” around Edison and pointed to Franklin and Stagg as “good teams.” The question now shifts to Stagg — can it make the jump to great? On the outside of the top three, it already proved something by handing Edison its first loss.

Softball

Manteca at Oakdale, 4 p.m., March 31

For years, these rivals have been polar opposites. Oakdale has dominated the VOL with 13 titles since 2004-05, while Manteca has yet to win one and has only once finished in the top two. But for the second straight year, the gap has closed. Both are 3-1 in league play, both are chasing Central Catholic for first, and both have added motivation. Manteca beat Oakdale last year for the first time since 2017.

Lincoln at St. Mary’s, 5:00 p.m., March 31

Does this one need any explanation? The names say it all. Lincoln owned the matchup last season, sweeping all three games against St. Mary’s and holding bragging rights throughout the year. Bear Creek sat atop Stockton a year ago, but this season, the race could come down to these two.

Kimball at Tracy, 4 p.m., April 2

What does this battle of Tracy look like? It starts with two programs that stand above the rest in the county. Yet, there’s major separation. When they met March 17, Tracy rolled to a 13-0 win, reinforcing its position. And it’s not just local — Tracy is ranked among the top six teams in California, according to MaxPreps.

East Union at St. Mary’s, 7 p.m., April 2

It’s TCAL vs. VOL on opening day of the St. Mary’s Tournament, with both teams entering after already getting a game in beforehand.

Boys Volleyball

McNair at Bear Creek, 6 p.m., March 30

This one won’t decide the league title, but it’s as close to a must-win as it gets. Both teams are 5-1 in SJAA play, chasing 6-0 Edison, which has already beaten both. Lose here, and the path to a league title gets even tougher.

Sierra at East Union, 6 p.m., March 30

No VOL title on the line, but plenty to play for. Manteca has already beaten both teams to claim the city’s top spot, but neither Sierra nor East Union wants to fall to the bottom. Sierra took both matchups last year to finish third, while East Union settled for fourth.

Livingston at Lathrop, 6:30 p.m., April 1

To be the best, the best must be beaten — and that standard belongs to Livingston. The reigning champion returns after winning it all last year.

Lincoln at St. Mary’s, 6 p.m., April 2

Again, does this need any explanation? The TCAL is up for grabs, with five of the six teams still in contention. With that, every game matters — and this one, obviously, a little more.

Track and Field

Stanford Invitational, April 3-4, Stanford University

One hundred sixty-two schools. Sixty-five leagues. The best of the best from across Northern California gathered for the region’s largest track meet. Athletes from Venture Academy, Ripon, Liberty Ranch, East Union, Mountain House, Bear Creek, Tokay, Kimball, Lincoln, Merrill West and St. Mary’s-Tracy will represent the county.
