Prediction and betting odds for Lakers vs. Thunder

The Los Angeles Lakers host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, money line odds and over/under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet.

The Lakers are suddenly reeling following the injuries Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves suffered during their 139-96 loss to the Thunder on Thursday. They will also be without Marcus Smart, who will miss his eighth straight game with an ankle injury, and LeBron James, who is listed as questionable, could also sit out Tuesday’s contest.

After back-to-back losses, L.A. has slid to fourth place in the Western Conference with a 50-28 record. The Thunder, meanwhile, have the NBA’s best record at 62-16 and are 2.5 games ahead of the second-place San Antonio Spurs.

Lakers vs Thunder injury reports

Thunder: Thomas Sorber (right ACL surgical recovery) and Jalen Williams (right hamstring injury management) are out.

Lakers: LeBron James (left foot injury) is questionable. Luka Doncic (left hamstring strain), Austin Reaves (left oblique muscle strain) and Marcus Smart (right ankle contusion) are out.

Advice and Prediction:

There seems to be only one way this game can turn out: a blowout in favor of the Thunder. The Lakers are simply too short-handed to even compete, let alone win, especially if James doesn’t take the court for this matchup.

One reason for that gloomy outlook is the fact that Oklahoma City has something to play for. It has yet to clinch the best record in the NBA, and as we saw last season, having Game 7 in one’s home arena is very helpful. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and crew need two more wins to wrap up home-court advantage through the NBA Finals, and they will want to get that taken care of as soon as possible so they can perhaps rest their starters before the playoffs start.

The Lakers will, in all likelihood, need to take their lumps and get ready to visit the Golden State Warriors, who now have Stephen Curry back in action, on Thursday.

Prediction: Thunder 125, Lakers 109
