Authorities have found the mother of a toddler who was left alone in front of the Victorville Police Department on Thursday morning, law enforcement officials said.
The young boy was found about 10:30 a.m. in front of the police station’s lobby at 14200 Amargosa Road, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
“The juvenile was dropped off by an unidentified Black male adult driving an older model black sedan,” the agency said in a written statement.
After reaching out to the public for help in identifying the boy and his parents, sheriff’s officials announced Thursday afternoon that the child’s mother had been located.
“The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident is continuing,” the statement said. “Thank you to the public for your quick responses to help share this information in an effort to find the boy’s parents.”
No further details were available.
