Newbury Park High School set its Class of 2025 — more than 500 strong — out into the world in style on June 13.
The ceremony recognized 39 valedictorians who had maintained a cumulative indexed GPA of 4.65 or better. Each received a medal inscribed with their name, books and a laurel wreath.
Highlights from the school year included the football team’s CIF-Southern Section Division 2 championship and the two main theater productions, “Newsies” and “Harry Potter.”
The class motto is a lyric from the song “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield: “Today is where your book begins, the rest is still unwritten.”
