New Rams 3-round mock draft focuses on offense

The Los Angeles Rams will be one of the most-watched teams during the 2026 NFL draft because of how good their roster already is and how high their first-round pick is after their 2025 trade with the Atlanta Flacons.

L.A. owns the No. 13 selection right now, a pick they could easily trade if they want to move up or down in the draft, depending on what general manager Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay want. And with less than a month to go before the Las Vegas Raiders made the first selection, The Athletic’s Nick Baumgardner took a look at the first three rounds and made some predictions of how it could go down.

Here’s what he picked for the Rams:

These are pretty future-looking moves for L.A.

Freeling is a rising prospect in this class, but the Rams don’t need him to start Week 1 with both Alaric Jackson and Warren McClendon Jr. looking solid as the team’s two starting tackles. That could change in 2027, though, with McClendon Jr. on an expiring deal.

The Rams spent lavishly in free agency at cornerback to secure both Trent McDuffie in a trade and Jaylen Watson on a long-term deal. Johnson would likely begin as the CB4 behind Emmanuel Forbes Jr., who is entering the final year of his rookie contract in 2026 if the Rams don’t pick up his fifth-year option in May.

Sarratt is a fun third-round pick for a Rams offense that needs a third true receiver alongside Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. While projected as a first-round receiver to the Rams, Sarratt would be a more cost-effective option as a WR3 with WR2 potential in a post-Adams world. He’s a big-bodied pass-catcher with tons of production: 200 receptions for 2,978 yards and 31 touchdowns over three seasons, including an FBS-best 15 in 2025.

L.A. doesn’t need a whole lot in the draft, but this three-round class would be a solid one that fills depth needs across the roster.
