Myles Garrett is the favorite to repeat as Defensive Player of the Year

Myles Garrett has already built a resume deserving of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, having won Defensive Player of the Year twice and holding the single-season sack record. As long as he stays healthy, he has a great chance to cement his place among the all-time greats in the second half of his career with the Los Angeles Rams.

Entering his first season with the team, he’s the betting favorite to win Defensive Player of the Year for the third time. According to BetMGM, his odds currently sit at +400, far ahead of Micah Parsons and Maxx Crosby, who are tied for the second-best odds at +750.

It’s a fairly open race, though, with five players holding odds of +850 or shorter. Here’s the top 15 for Defensive Player of the Year.

2026 Defensive Player of the Year odds

Verse is tied for the 13th-best odds to win the award this season, his first year with the Browns. He’s joining a decent defense in Cleveland and while he’s not quite on Garrett’s level as a pass rusher, he’s still been productive in his career.

The common theme among most of the favorites is that they’re almost all edge rushers. Carter is the exception, as is Warner in the top 15.
