A man lost cash and other items to a robber at Civic Plaza Park in Hesperia on Monday evening, officials said.
The crime was reported about 7:25 p.m. at the park in the 15800 block of Smoke Tree Street in Hesperia, across the street from the Hesperia Police Department, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department logs.
“The suspect is reported to have stolen cash and personal items from the victim,” agency spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said.
A weapon was believed to have been used in the crime, although sheriff’s officials declined to provide further details.
The robber was initially described only as a man. No further details were available.
