Luka Doncic highlights from Friday's EuroBasket friendly game

Nearly a week ago, Luka Doncic agreed to a three-year, $165 million contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers. Sonn afterward, he headed to Europe to prepare to represent his native Slovenia in the upcoming EuroBasket tournament.

The tournament will officially begin on Aug. 27, but Slovenia played its first warm-up game on Friday. It took on Germany in that contest, which gave fans a chance to watch the new and fitter Doncic in action.

Slovenia ended up losing, 103-89. However, Doncic did well with 19 points on 5-of-11 field-goal shooting and 3-of-6 from 3-point range, five assists and three rebounds while logging 24 minutes of action.

Yes, Doncic looked every bit as lean and fit as he has looked in recent photos and videos. As he always seems to do, he provided a couple of highlight-reel-worthy passes.

For Germany, Orlando Magic forward Franz Wagner scored 18 points.

Slovenia’s next friendly game will take place on Sunday, Aug. 10, when it faces Germany again. It will then take on Lithuania on Friday, Aug. 15.
