Lakers jersey history No. 41 — Quincy Olivari

Through the 2024-25 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a total of 506 players suit up for them, going back to their days in Minneapolis. Some were forgettable, some were serviceable, some were good and a select few were flat-out legendary.

During the Lakers’ 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years.

After four seasons at Rice University and one at Xavier University, Quincy Olivari was scooped up by the Lakers as an undrafted free agent in the summer of 2024. He participated in their summer league team and received an Exhibit 10 contract from them, and after looking impressive in the preseason, that contract was converted into a two-way contract.

He appeared in two games with the Lakers during the 2024-25 season and totaled three points and one assist in 10 minutes while averaging 18.1 points a game with their G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers. The 6-foot-3 guard spent this season with the G League’s Motor City Cruise and put up 14.1 points a game.
