La Vida fire displaces four adults at Windy Point home outside Palm Springs

Four adults have been displaced after a fire burned a home in the Windy Point area just outside Palm Springs on Monday.

The blaze was first reported at around 1:10 p.m. at the 15-000 block of La Vida Drive, according to Cal Fire. The community is located north about 4 miles north of Desert Highland Gateway Estates.

Heavy smoke and fire was said to be coming from the home, although no injuries have been reported, a Cal Fire spokesperson told The Desert Sun.

As of around 2:10 p.m., firefighters had completed the primary search of the residence, but flames still appeared to be burning.

The Red Cross had been requested to assist those who have been displaced.
