After the Micah Parson trade it is getting harder and harder to predict how exactly the NFC North division will play out. All four teams in this division can be division winners in other divisions in the NFL. Caleb Williams is challenged with a lot this season but he at least has everything he needs to to meet all the high expectations.
Here are my predictions for each game of the Bears 2025-26 season:
Week 1 vs Vikings
This is the perfect game for the Bears to kick off this new era. The Vikings are a good team that will challenge the Bears but also a team that the Bears can beat. The Bears get a nice tester to see where they are at as a football team. Caleb Williams is the better quarterback so I believe he will make more plays than J.J. leading to a Bears victory.
(1-0) Week 2 vs Lions
A Ben Johnson reunion game. This should be one of the most anticipated games of week 2. This is a game that I feel the Bears inexperience together as team will be their downfall. The Lions are the better football team at this moment, I think they will make the plays needed to win the game late.
(1-1) Week 3 vs Cowboys
The Cowboys lost their best player on the defensive side of the ball in Micah Parsons, I think Ben Johnson will be able to take advantages of matchups that benefit the Bears. Dak Prescott and this Cowboys offense is a dangerous unit that can put up points against anybody. The Cowboys are a team the Bears have to beat if they want to make the playoffs. I trust Ben Johnson and Dennis Allen to get the best of this coaching staff for the Cowboys.
(2-1) Week 4 vs Raiders
The Raiders are a really tough frisky team, that has upset potential. This like the Cowboys is a game that is a must-win for the Bears if they want to see the postseason. I think the Bears can take advantage of a weaker Raiders defense and make it a tough day for Geno Smith and the Raiders offense. Give me the Bears in a nail bitter.
(3-1) Week 6 vs Commanders
Jayden Daniels vs Caleb Williams has become a rivalry. These two quarterbacks well be etched together their career because the order in which they were drafted. Caleb got cheated out of a couple game winning drives in the last meeting between the two teams. I like the Bears to get their revenge and hopefully lessen the remembrance of the hail mary play.
(4-1) Week 7 vs Saints
The Saints will be one of the worst teams in the NFL this season, this should be a layup game for the Bears. Would be nice to have a dominant defensive performance for Dennis Allen just saying.
(5-1) Week 8 vs Ravens
Lamar does not lose to NFC teams. I don’t think the Bears will be one of the lucky few teams to beat Lamar. The Ravens have the best roster in the NFL, all I hope for us to do is make the game competitive.
(5-2) Week 9 vs Bengals
Joe Burrow is a quarterback that can beat any team on any given Sunday by himself. This Bengals defense however gives me hope that the Bears can put up points with Burrow and make enough plays at the end to win the game. The Bengals will be a playoff team this season so this could be a huge victory for the Bears. I like Caleb to prove he can play with the best of them and outduel Joe Burrow.
(6-2) Week 10 vs Giants
The Bears might not see a better defensive line then the defensive line they will see in week 10. Thankfully the weakness in the Giants best asset Ben Johnson specializes in. This will be a ground and pound game for the Bears. I think at this point Kyle Monangai is splitting carries with Swift. With that said I think both running backs dominated in this game making multiple big plays on the ground.
(7-2) Week 11 vs Vikings
Ben Johnson is 4-0 versus Brian flores in the last 4 meetings. However this team is too talented, and too well coached to be a team the Bears can sweep the series with. This will be another nail biter but kevin O’Connell will draw up the perfect play to seal the Bears fate.
(7-3) Week 12 vs Steelers
This is the game that I will treat as the Super Bowl being a Bears fan. Aaron Rodgers last game at Soldier Field. The Chicago Bears have a great opportunity to send Rodgers out to retirement on a high note. This has to be one of the games this team is looking forward to the most. Can not wait to see Rodgers go toe to toe with Caleb Williams for the first time. Aaron Rodgers lease on the Chicago Bears will be up after this game.
( 8-3) Week 13 vs Eagles
The Bears will face off against the defending champs on black friday. The Eagles are a team that always knows how to win the close games. In Thursday night’s opener the Eagles showed some chinks in their armor with poor secondary play. There is opportunity for the Bears to light this secondary up but also opportunity for these Eagles defense to be sharp come November. I think the Eagles will put the Bears away late in a nail biter.
(8-4) Week 14 vs Packers
The NFC North is a gauntlet full of potential playoff teams. The Bears should of beaten the Packers twice last season with poor coaching. This season with good coaching albeit the Packers got Parsons the Bears should at least get 1 game. The one game the Bears will win is at home. The Bears over the last few years have been a successful home team. That trend continues especially in the division games.
(9-4) Week 15 vs Browns
This is similar to the the Saints game is a layup for the Bears. Myles Garrett is a top 5 player in the NFL but the Browns still have a 40 year old starting quarterback. Good football teams beat bad teams and the Bears need to follow that notion.
(10-4) Week 16 vs Packers
I have the Bears beating the Packers at Soldier Field. Although Caleb Williams is 1-0 at Lambeau field my Bears realism will not let me predict two victories versus the Packers in one season. With the recent Packers dominance I will gladly take a split with them.
(10-5) Week 17 vs 49ers
The 49ers are a hard team to gauge this season but they have the easiest schedule in the NFL and a proven coaching staff. When the Trojans are healthy they end up in the NFC Championship game bare minimum. I’ll give the victory to the 49ers in this one.
(10-6) Week 18 vs Lions
This game could end up being the most important game of the season. Week 2 versus the Lions was in Detroit now Ben Johnson’s counterparts have to come to Soldier Field. I like the Bears to end the season off on a high note and earn themselves a spot in the playoffs. This game could very much end the Lions season with their brutal schedule. The Bears are ready to win now, not get stuck in another 3-5 year rebuild. Even if it is a first round exit for the Bears this will be the game that is looked as the turning point for this franchise.
Final Record: (11-6)
