It sure sounds like Davante Adams is enjoying his time with the Los Angeles Rams.
The veteran wideout has 10 receptions for 157 yards and one touchdown on 21 targets through his first two games with his new team. The Rams are also 2-0, which helps.

Adams has had one other good quarterback in the past — Aaron Rodgers — during his 12-year career. He played with Rodgers for eight years with the Green Bay Packers before a trade to the Las Vegas Raiders left him with a cavalcade of mediocrity under center. Adams had one more stint with Rodgers on the New York Jets, but now finds himself with another elite quarterback in Matthew Stafford coupled with an elite play-caller in head coach Sean McVay.
That connection has served Adams well thus far, and the veteran told Kay Adams this week that he thanks God he has Stafford throwing him the football.
“Dude’s a magician,” Adams said on Stafford. “He’s special. Dude’s like Aaron, dudes like Matthew Stafford. These dues are like [NBA star] Steph Curry. It doesn’t matter how many throws we have in practice. … I thank God that I have a quarterback like him, for sure.”
This is high praise for Stafford, but it’s not without merit. Stafford is one of the best pure throwers of the football in the NFL, and Adams is enjoying receiving passes from him after only two games. The duo should continue to light up the gridiron all year, even against top defensive talent like they’ll see against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3.
