Burlington plans to open in the former Joann Fabrics and Crafts store on Main Street in Hesperia this spring, marking the discount chain’s second location in the High Desert.
The Daily Press previously reported that Burlington submitted tenant improvement plans to move to Main Street in 2025. This will be the 130th store to open in the state.
As Burlington continues to expand its footprint, company representatives say they remain focused on finding great talent to join their growing company. The off-price retailer will bring a fresh round of part-time jobs, including stocking team and front end supervisor roles. Those interested in joining the retail culture are encouraged to visit BurlingtonStores.jobs.
Hesperia’s new Burlington location will open this spring at 12779 Main St. in the High Desert Gateway shopping center, joining a cluster of other discount retailers, including Ross and Marshalls. The addition reinforces the area’s appeal as a bargain-shopping hub, where national chains are drawing budget-conscious consumers.
About Burlington
The company started as Burlington Coat Factory over 50 years ago, selling off-price coats and outerwear out of a factory building. Today, Burlington offers customers deals of up to 60% off merchandise compared to retail competition. Besides clothing styles to suit the whole family, Burlington is also a one-stop shop for home, beauty and decor merchandise.
The stores are stocked with fresh items daily, giving customers the chance to find something new every time they shop.
According to company representatives, the new Hesperia location features Burlington’s reimagined store design, which reflects Burlington’s broader strategy to modernize stores.
All new Burlington stores will feature this refreshed format, including wider, more organized aisles and bold signage for easier navigation to the latest must-have trends. While over half of the brand’s existing locations have already been converted, the remaining stores are expected to transition by the end of 2026.
