Bruin fan publicly displays her feelings about UCLA's potential move to SoFi Stadium

No. 19 UCLA basketball moved to 4-1 on the season at Pauley Pavilion on Tuesday with a 79-48 win over Sacramento State. The game gave Bruin fans an opportunity to be distracted from the stadium saga that’s unfolding for the UCLA football team. One fan let her feelings be known.

You can’t blame UCLA fans for being frustrated to see decades of tradition being ripped away for the sake of profitability. The Rose Bowl didn’t force UCLA football to sign a lease through the 2043 season but the Bruins appear to want out of the deal regardless.

The City of Pasadena also has a gripe with UCLA, Pasadena has invested millions of dollars to improve the Rose Bowl only for their main tenant to try and up and leave. It sounds as if SoFi Stadium will be more profitable for UCLA but are those extra profits enough to alienate their own fan base?

UCLA has seen their attendance totals drop in recent years but they did themselves no favors in recent years with the product on the field. If the Bruins had a competitive team and games at the Rose Bowl, attendance numbers would have increased but instead they went to the Big Ten and find themselves near the bottom of the totem pole in the conference.

Saturday’s game versus Washington may be the final home game for UCLA at the Rose Bowl. We’ll have to wait and see how the fan base responds to a potential Bruin move to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
