Amazon announced this month, the creation of more than 1,000 seasonal jobs at its new inbound cross-dock facility in Ontario.
The Amazon site began operations on May 18, representing the company’s continued growth and investment in the Inland Empire region, company officials stated.
Amazon’s newest and largest fulfillment center is six stories high and located directly across from its existing warehouse.

Seasonal associates will earn $20.25 per hour, with opportunities to transition to permanent roles at $20.75 per hour.

The Ontario inbound cross dock (IXD) facility serves as a critical connection point in Amazon’s delivery network, the company stated.
At the specialized logistics hub in Ontario, products from suppliers are received, sorted and redistributed to fulfillment centers without extended storage periods. This streamlined process helps ensure fast and efficient delivery to Amazon customers while optimizing transportation routes and reducing shipping time, company officials said.
