The recent St. Clair County Health Advisory Board meeting began with a vote in favor of a Motion to Amend the Agenda to move Public Comments to the end of the meeting. Some of the topics of discussion during the three hour meeting was fluoride, PFAS, and the State Board of Education.
Both of Dr. Nevin’s Water Fluoridation Memorandums were approved directing regulations be drafted banning fluoride in St. Clair County municipal water system.

As the meeting was wrapping up with Board members’ comments, Health Director Liz King was confronted on an email that she sent out in September, 2025, to only a few County officials calling for a “pause of the Health Advisory Board.” One Marysville resident, Tracey Birgy, in her Public Comments questioned King’s explanation about her lack of transparency and intent.
