In honor of fallen military members on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, federal, state and local government offices will be closed, including the U.S. Post Service and other delivery services in Michigan.

Will the USPS or UPS be open on Memorial Day 2026?
The U.S. Postal Service will observe Memorial Day on Monday, May 25, so all offices will be closed nationwide. Regular mail delivery and retail services will resume on Tuesday, May 26.

Amazon does deliver mail on Memorial Day, May 25, though the service uses USPS so it may vary and packages may get delayed.
Is FedEx delivering on Memorial Day?
FedEx offices will be closed in observance of Memorial Day, May 25, according to the company’s 2026 holiday shipping schedule and details webpage.
DHL does not list Memorial Day as a holiday on its 2026 schedule.
