The first round of the 2025 NBA Draft is complete, but there’s more action Thursday with the second round.
When is the second round of the 2025 draft and what is the Round 2 start time? The Minnesota Timberwolves will be on the clock beginning at 8 p.m. tonight with the first pick in the second round at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, home of the Brooklyn Nets.
That includes the Detroit Pistons, who didn’t have a first-round pick, and hold the No. 37 overall selection, No. 7 in the second round, for their only scheduled pick of the draft.
Experienced shooting is something the Pistons may be aiming for, with our Pistons insider Omari Sankofa II projecting the Pistons will take Tennessee guard Chaz Lanier with their second-round pick. It’s a selection that other NBA draft experts agree with, though other college shooters may present interesting options for Detroit.
