The Detroit Lions selected Georgia wide receiver Dominic Lovett in the 7th round of this year’s draft.
Lovett is the second receiver the Lions picked up in the draft, adding to a crowded bottom half of the depth chart at the position. The 5’10 former Bulldog led Georgia in receptions in 2024 and played a significant role on special teams.
Most scouting reports project Lovett to start out primarily as a special teams weapon, but there’s a chance he works his way up to being a contributor within the offense.
