Michigan State football will open conference play on Saturday night, and it’s a massive game for the program.
The Spartans will travel across the country to USC for their first road test of the season, which will also be their first Big Ten game of the year. Michigan State comes into this game with a perfect 3-0 record, but still plenty of room for improvement after a lackluster performance against FCS foe Youngstown State this past weekend.
Another thing to monitor for the Spartans heading into this matchup against USC is the injuries of key offensive players. Spartans head coach Jonathan Smith provided an injury update on Monday, stating both star wide receiver Nick Marsh and starting running back Makhi Frazier are questionable this week after suffering injuries against Youngstown State.
So what else did Smith have to say about this upcoming matchup against USC during his weekly media availability? Watch his complete press conference from Monday in the video below.
