Dan Campbell was fired up in the visiting locker room at M&T Stadium on Monday night after the Detroit Lions’ showdown against the Baltimore Ravens … as he should be.
His team had just defeated the heavily favored Ravens, 38-30.

Campbell’s voice sounded shredded, and he kept this speech short and sweet. But his happiness still sounded loud and clear in his post-game speech.
“That’s a great (expletive) win,” he said. “We did exactly what we said we needed to do. Played complementary freakin’ football, man.”
“When we need it the most, every (expletive) phase picked up the slack, man. That’s how you win games against teams like that, man.”
Game balls went to running back David Montgomery, who ran for 151 yards on 12 carries with two touchdowns, and defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad, who had 2.5 sacks and two hits on Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson while filling in for the injured Marcus Davenport.
The Lions next host the Cleveland Browns at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at Ford Field.
