The Moore Mechanical Athlete of the Week for the Petoskey-area is back for the spring sports season!
All results for this week’s poll come from Monday, May 11 through Saturday, May 16 from Emmet and Charlevoix Counties.
Congratulations to Boyne City softball’s Sidney Bush, who joined her sister in being named an Athlete of the Week winner this spring.
In a big junior season, both at the plate and in the circle once again, Bush ran away with 78.69% of the vote last week.
Vote for these athletes from Monday, May 18 to 4 p.m., Thursday, May 21. Look for another Moore Mechanical Athlete of the Week from the Petoskey-area next week.

Lilly Barnadyn, Harbor Springs soccer
Barnadyn had her biggest scoring game ever last week against Cheboygan, notching four goals in the 7-1 victory.
Tyler Pool, Petoskey baseball
Pool had a great week at the plate, going 7-for-12 with six RBIs, two doubles and a triple. He also earned a six-inning win with five strikeouts against Goodrich.
Isaac Dionne, Boyne City track
Dionne set two new personal bests and qualified for regionals in both the 1,600 and 3,200 meter runs during regionals.
Reagan Kelso, Harbor Springs track
Kelso was part of all four Harbor Springs relay teams that qualified for the state finals, one of which set a school record in the 4×100.
Will Paulus, Harbor Light baseball
Paulus was lights out on the mound a week ago, tossing a 13-strikeout, six-inning perfect game against TC Christian. For the week, he went 16 innings with 32 strikeouts and two hits allowed. He also had three doubles and seven RBIs.
Veronica Paga, St. Michael track
Paga earned three regional titles in Division 4 in the 400, 800 and 4×800, then also qualified for the state finals in the 3,200, showing her range on the track.
Collin Jess, Charlevoix track
Jess came through with four qualifying state finals spots last week in the pole vault, 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles and the 4×400 meter relay. The 300 hurdles and pole vault came as regional titles.
Alex Petok, Petoskey track
Petok earned individual regional titles in both the 200 meter dash and 100 hurdles, then also qualified for states in the long jump and 400 meter run.
