Father Forgive Me, a wine and cocktail bar on Detroit’s east side, made USA TODAY’s list of best bars in the country.
The USA TODAY Bars of the Year 2026 list, released July 29, features 38 bars, from dives to high-end cocktail bars. Father Forgive Me, with a menu that offers an even split of wine and craft cocktails — some beverages a fusion of both wine and spirits — is the one Michigan location that made the cut.
“To be recognized is an honor,” said Father Forgive Me owner and operator Joe Robinson. “Everybody here has so much love for the space. It’s a joy to be around and to be able to share that with the whole team is amazing.”
