The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the deaths of two people found with gunshot wounds outside a vehicle in Raisinville Township Tuesday, June 17.
Monroe County Central Dispatch received a call regarding the deceased female and male on Heiss Road near Steffas Road about 9:45 a.m.
“Both individuals appeared to be teenagers and were found outside a vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds,” the sheriffs office said in a news release. “Sheriff’s detectives are actively investigating this incident. At this time, investigators are confident there is no danger to the community.”
Sheriff Troy Goodnough said there is no connection between this incident and the one reported in Bedford Township on June 14, 2025.
Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Victim Services Unit and Chaplains assisted at the scene, as did the City of Monroe Public Safety Department Chaplain.
