Summer is here in Michigan and you can grab deals at local restaurants to celebrate.
From Potbelly to White Castle and more, dining chains in Michigan are offering free and discounted menu items to kick off summer 2025 in the mitten state.

When is summer solstice in 2025?
Summer solstice — the longest day of the year and the start of summer — is June 20, 2025.
In Detroit, sunrise is at 5:53 a.m. on June 20. Sunset is at 9:14 p.m. with 15 hours, 20 minutes of daylight, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac.
What is summer solstice?
The summer solstice is when the Earth’s northern hemisphere points most directly toward the sun, according to Earth Sky.
“At this solstice, the northern hemisphere is most tilted toward the sun, by the maximum angle of 23.5 degrees. Conversely, the south is most tilted away, by the same amount,” Earth Sky said.
The moment when the Earth tilts most toward the sun is 10:42 p.m. June 20, 2025, according to the Farmers’ Almanac.

Hut Rewards members can pick up a free, large pizza with one topping from participating Pizza Hut locations in Michigan until June 22 to celebrate the summer solstice.
To qualify for the deal, customers must spend $7.99 online or in the Pizza Hut app.
Grab BOGO shakes at White Castle
White Castle is offering buy one get one shakes from June 20-22 to celebrate summer solstice in Michigan.
To get the deal, customers can use code SUMMER to buy one shake and get one free online and through Craver Nations Rewards.
Nescafé and Swoon launch summer beverage giveaway
Beverage brands Nescafé and Swoon are partnering to offer a free, limited-edition Espresso Lemonade. The drink is “a refreshing blend of NESCAFÉ Espresso Concentrate Black with a burst of sweet, citrusy Classic Lemonade from Swoon that delivers a bright, layered flavor experience perfect for summer sipping.”
The kit will be available for free only at nescafe.com/NEClemonade while supplies last. The next launch is set for 12 p.m. on June 20.
