Stay safe: These cooling shelters are available in Calhoun County

There will be cooling shelters in place in Calhoun County as an extreme heat watch is in effect from Saturday, June 21, through 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 24.

Heat index values may reach up to 102 degrees, with heat-related illnesses more likely due to the extreme heat and high humidity.
