What the hell is going on?
As I read the headline in my favorite newspaper, “Parasitic illnesses surge in Michigan,” I’m literally gasping for air in an incredibly visible fog of smoke. And I’m waiting for the next freeway flooding I might have to avoid. Let me ask the question again. What the hell is going on?

I just learned that Supreme Court justices believe they need better security protections. Justices Elena Kagan and Amy Coney Barrett have spoken about the need for stronger safeguards, including bulletproof vests and larger protection details beyond the six or eight officers they may already have. Again, what the hell is going on?

I readily admit, though I obviously wanted to see our team go all the way in the World Cup, I still found it exciting to continue without us. I’m especially taken by the teams staying on the pitch long after the competition is over, soaking it all in.

Congratulations to Mike and Denise Busley on the 30th anniversary of their incredibly successful Grand Traverse Pie Company. I was truly with them from the beginning. I came back to WJR to do the morning show on July 1, 1996, and they started their company on July 19, 1996. Now, 30 years later, they have 11 locations, shipping the best pies to all 50 states. A great family business.
