It’s not too early to start filling up your social calendar for June.
The Parade Company has announced the 68th Ford Fireworks will return to the Detroit River on June 22. The Monday night sky show is the unofficial kick-off to summer in the city.
Tickets are on sale now for the glitzy Rooftop Party, a fundraiser for the fireworks, which is held on the roof of the Center Garage near the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel. Usually a sold-out event, the party includes a premium view, food from Andiamo, an open bar with beer and wine, giveaways and live broadcasts from the event by Local 4 WDIV-TV and 760 WJR-FM. Tickets are $350 per person, $150 for kids six and younger, and do not include parking.

Additional information about the Ford Fireworks show is expected to be announced at a later date.
